Key Terminology

Oncology
The study and treatment of cancer.
Metastasis
The spread of cancer cells from the primary site to other parts of the body.
Remission
A decrease in or disappearance of signs and symptoms of cancer.
Biopsy
The removal of a small amount of tissue for examination under a microscope.
